HUNGERFORD-based Triteq has been named Microchip Technology Inc's first, and at present only, Medical Design Partner Specialist within the UK and Europe.
Triteq's achievement strengthens Microchip's innovative design-partner network as it is being updated to include medical-design specialists. Microchip is adding medical specialists to its worldwide design partner programme to promote best practices in medical device design, and to make it easier for medical device manufacturers to connect with design specialists across the world.
"The addition of Triteq as a Medical Design Partner Specialist enhances the design capabilities of Microchip's European Medical customers," said Steve Kennelly, the senior manager of Microchip's Medical Products Group. "Triteq's broad knowledge and experience in medical electronics is expected to help Microchip's customers realise lower design risk, faster time to market and smoother compliance with international regulations, such as European CE marking."
Triteq is registered by TUV Munich to ISO13485-2003, the highest standard required for design and development of medical devices. As part of the company's continued development it has created and actively promotes an extensive web-based quality management system that is designed around the safety-critical aspects of medical-device design.
