NEWBURY company Twang. net Limited, an integrated communications Provider and specialist provider of fully managed homeworking solutions, has been acquired by Newark-based firm Timico Group.
Timoco Group chairman Tim Radford said: "The acquisition of Twang.net Limited allows us to achieve a strategic aim to further increase the value of our business, by building on our range of services to address the growing demand amongst corporate customers for managed broadband solutions.
"Through its supply of premium quality business services, supported by systems integration and technical excellence, Twang.net demonstrates that it shares our commitment to the delivery of top quality, business-strength solutions to its customers."
Twang.net has traded successfully since 1999 with sustained year-on-year profitable revenue growth selling premium internet connectivity, voice and data solutions through its direct sales team. Twang.net's owners and founding partners, James Sumsion (managing director, pictured) and Jeremy Sharp (technical director) will continue to lead and drive the growth of the company, which will remain headquartered in Newbury.
Twang.net currently employs 35 people, which is expected to increase in line with the business achieving its growth ambitions. The company will run as a standalone subsidiary of the Timico Group and James Sumsion will join the Timico board of directors.
He said: "This is great news for Twang.net. As part of the Timico Group, we can further leverage our strengths within a group environment whilst gaining access to a wider ranging IP network and the market leading converged services from the Timico portfolio."
