Thames Valley accountants and business advisers, James Cowper has announced it is to merge with Cave Harper, one of Henley’s leading accountancy practices and a specialist in private client work. The practice, previously part of the long-established firm, Spencer Ell, specialises in the management of trusts, landed estates and private client tax. All twelve staff will transfer to James Cowper and the Henley office will continue to be run by partner, Anne Menzies.  The two firms have a long-standing professional association, with Cave Harper referring clients to James Cowper when it has needed specific services or advice. Cave Harper partner, Anne Menzies, says she believes the merger secures the future of the firm which has grown predominantly through client recommendations and professional referrals. James Cowper has 170 staff with offices in Reading, Oxford and Newbury and is one of the largest independent accountancy firms in the Thames Valley.
