ONE lucky woman received a cheque for £1,000 last Thursday (February 25) - simply for test driving a car.

Annette Jones, of Kintbury, was presented with the cheque by the general sales manager at Whitequay Suzuki, David Green, after she test drove a Suzuki last month.

The Faraday Road dealership ran the competition during the first week of February, which saw anyone test driving a new car being entered into a draw to win the cash prize.

Mr Green said the competition attracted “reasonable numbers” and he added that the dealership was pleased with the “fantastic start” it has enjoyed since it opened at the end of November.
