STAFF at Newbury Building Society recently presented a cheque for more than £600 to the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
The Thatcham team has raised £608.48 for the charity over the last year through various fundraising events, including a Christmas competition for children to guess the name of a toy puppy and a raffle for adults to win a luxury hamper.
Fundraising organiser Jane Bosher said: “We selected the TVACAA to support as they are a charity close to our hearts.
“All of us here either know someone that’s used it or have needed to use it ourselves.
“We are immensely proud of the amount we have managed to raise thanks to the overwhelming support from the local community.”
The air ambulance area coordinator, John Sparrow, received the money at a recent presentation.
He said: “The charity relies solely on donations and requires approximately £2m a year to run so I would like to thank Newbury Building Society for their continued support.”
