KPMG top list of 'Best of British to Work For"
STAFF at KPMG in Theale have been celebrating as the company scooped a prestigious award for the second year running.
The London-based firm, which has offices at Arlington Business Park in Theale, have topped The Sunday Times annual review of the ‘Best British Company to Work For.’ It is the fourth year it has finished in the top three.
The awards are granted based on a wide survery of 180,000 employees spread over 850 organisations. Senior partner at the KMPG Theale branch, Tony Cottam, said: “We are extremely proud, especially as it is the first time any company has won the award twice. Our people are our greatest asset and that is why it is so important to create an environment where they can flourish and talents can grow.”
The firm also scooped two more awards. It was named the ‘Most Improved’ which acknowledged its continual commitment to staff training. Also it was named the ‘Best for Giving Back’ in response to the fact that more than a third of KPMG’s 11,800 employees across its 22 UK offices gave up some of their time and expertise to charitable projects last year.
Mr Cottam said: “Overall, this is a fantastic result for the firm.”
