Medical firm features in Sunday Times Top 100
A NEWBURY firm features in a prestigious list of the best companies in the UK to work for the second year running. Stryker, a medical firm dealing in orthopaedic technology was ranked as the 32 best medium sized company to work for in The Sunday Times Top 100. The Hambridge Lane firm moved up 12 places in the list from last year. Human resources director Louis Efron received the award at a recent ceremony in London. Stryker UK’s managing director Peter Bradley said: “We find it hugely enriching and rewarding for the organisation to have achieved a 27 per cent improvement on last year’s placing. “This has only been made possible through the hard work and dedication of every person throughout the organisation and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved. “The recognition of being placed as the 32nd best medium sized company to work for in the UK is a wonderful accolade.” The Sunday Times asked employees to rate the company they work for and then evaluates responses on the basis of the company’s leadership style, reward and recognition scheme, work-life balance, opportunities for professional and personal growth, contribution to society and the overall working environment.Stryker’s products include implants used in joint replacements, trauma and spinal surgeries as well as interventional pain equipment, surgical navigation equipment and digital imaging systems.
