Easter Park to serve thriving business community

A new business park in Aldermaston opened its doors for the first time on Thursday (March 13).
Easter Park on Benyon Road can accommodate 35 warehouses designed for new businesses.
The site also contains 12 warehouses with office space inside, and two separate office blocks.
Building work on the warehouses has been completed, and the office blocks should be finished in May.
Senior development executive for Easter Park Colin Brown said: “It is a relief to get to this stage after several years’ hard work.
“It is nice to see the finished product instead of looking at something on a piece of paper.
“We bought this site two years ago because there is a lot of demand for industrial units in the area.
“The company has run some successful schemes in the Reading area in the past and we like the area.
“This is a thriving business community, particularly with lots of small businesses.”
The industrial park can provide units ranging from 1,200 sq.ft to 60,000 sq ft.
The office units incorporate the latest environmental technology to cut down on heating bills.
Mr Brown said: “This is an ideal site with good links to both the M3 and the M4.
“Some of our clients live nearby and are fed up with the hassle of driving into Reading every day.
“We have done seven deals already for our units and we are expecting more over the next few weeks.
“Two large international companies are talking to us about the possibility of moving into the site and taking over the office space available.
“We are confident that the business park will be a success.”
