Brand communications agency Syndicut has just launched Newbury Racecourse's new customer-focused, interactive website.
Syndicut has provided a complete refresh and redesign of the Newbury Racecourse brand, which is reflected throughout the website and across all marketing material. The brief, set in September 2007, addressed the issue of broadening the racecourse's appeal better to reflect the wide scope of its racing and non-racing facilities.
The intention was to ensure it was the number one website for racecourse and venue information. Syndicut director, Nick Bromage said: “One of the key aspects we tackled was the strong emphasis required on cross-promoting Newbury’s other core services; conferences, exhibitions, corporate hospitality packages and sponsorship. We’ve created a brand colour for each of these services, which has been replicated throughout the racecourse's entire media, providing consistency of message and clarity of Newbury’s service offerings.” The website is fully content managed, allowing updates content at any time in a clear, concise manner.
The website includes a new ‘pick your package’ application, a custom-built hospitality tool which allows the user to build their own race day package and receive the proposal by email. Syndicut has also created 360° tours of the restaurants, private boxes and facilities and updated the photo galleries. Newbury Racecourse's marketing manager, Kate Walthew said: “Our brief was to create an informative, visually compelling and user friendly site to provide an important marketing tool for our business. Syndicut more than met that challenge with a design that promotes all aspects of Newbury Racecourse extremely well. The Content Management System is easy to use and gives us great flexibility going forward to keep our website fresh and up-to-date.” In addition to reviewing the racecourse's online strategy, Syndicut has been appointed to devise a new advertising strategy for 2008, including press, direct mail, outdoor and email marketing, and a signage programme for the racecourse and its many facilities.
