The first Great Gardner Leader Mixed Netball Tournament took place at Park House School Newbury. It was a great afternoon with six teams from local businesses participating and two Gardner Leader teams.
Newbury Building Society, Carter Jonas and Griffins were in group 1 with Clark Holt, Jones Robinson and Camp Hopson in group 2. Each team played three games and the top two teams went through to the semi-finals.
Camp’s Crusaders (pictured) were the clear winners of group one with Wholesome’s heroes (Clark Holt) joining them in the next round after knocking the GL Ankle-biters out on goal difference. Carter Jonas were the leaders in group 2, closely followed by Newbury Building Society.
Camp’s Crusaders went on to be the ultimate winners after beating Carter Jonas 5-4 in the final.
Cupcakes from the Sassy Tastery were enjoyed throughout the games and the event continued with a buffet at the Bowlers Arms.
Organisers Julie Taylor and Lucy Samara from Gardner Leader thanked all those who took part.
