STAFF at AWE Aldermaston raised money for charity by creating a snake line of pennies.
Employees donated their loose change and the proceeds will be donated to The Alzheimer's Society and the Naomi House Children's Hospice.
AWE scientist Matthew Cheeseman said: "Laying out, sorting and counting up all those coins was hard work, but we had a great sense of achievement at the end.
"We made just over £620 on the day, but since then we have had kind people dropping in more bags of change.
"We have so far raised just over £700."
The company has planned a series of fundraising events later this year, including a fun run and a Battle of the Bands contest.
