Now imagine it has been freshly made just a few feet from your office door? For a growing number of companies in West Berkshire, that daydream is a reality thanks to Cafe2U and one local man's passion for coffee.
Simon Paine has been brightening the days of scores of office workers for just over a year now, as his bright red van - ‘the supreme bean machine' charts a daily course around Newbury and Thatcham.
Alongside gourmet coffee he serves up splendid sandwiches made at Hetherton's in Newbury and the popular Crank's vegetarian sandwiches too - it is little wonder Cafe2U has become the most popular caller at so many businesses.
Newbury Business Today caught up with Simon Paine after another day serving local offices and asked how it all began. "Honestly not so many years ago I wasn't even a coffee drinker," he said. "I loved the smell and the whole idea but I simply did not like the taste. Then we lived in Spain for a while and there they made really good coffee. Back here I just couldn't find it; sometimes a restaurant might come close, but never completely there.
