Plenty of family businesses are run by a father and son, but at Piper Auto, it is the son, Nigel, who runs the garage with his father Robert, although Robert Piper is no stranger to the trade and will be recognised by many readers as the man who founded and ran Ashmore Green Garage for many years.
The garage services all makes and models of cars and can offer a full diagnostic service together with the servicing of air conditioning systems – and important consideration with the approaching summer.
Founded by Nigel Piper three years ago, the garage quickly grew in popularity, so much so that Robert Piper was tempted back into the trade and celebrated his second year with Piper Auto in April.
Robert Piper said: “We get many of my old customers coming here. I think much as we were a friendly country garage in Ashmore Green, we are a friendly town garage here on the Sterling Industrial Estate.”
