There can be little doubt the profile of Cricketts Estate Agents has soared in the year. It has expanded its business and moved to highly prominent offices in the Broadway, Newbury, from Cheap Street, where the company was founded nine years ago.
The tripling on the independent agency’s shop frontage is matched by ever more of Cricketts’ ‘for sale’ and ‘sold’ boards appearing across West Berkshire and North Hampshire. Cricketts is acknowledged as having one of the largest property portfolios, dealing with all aspects of the market – first time buyer properties extending to village and country houses within a 20 miles radius North, South, East and west of Newbury.
The business was founded by Kathleen Crickett nine years ago, after working in the Newbury area as a highly respected estate agent for more than twenty five years.
Kathleen Crickett explained: “Our team offer a very personalised service and have worked with local families and professionals moving them up and down the property ladder for many years. We are now starting to see their next generation using us as their family estate agent.
“We are fortunate to be in Newbury, which much like London remains a buoyant market. Certainly the hype about a property crisis bears no relation to reality here. In fact in 2011 we have seen a lot more confidence in the marketplace.”
Scott Talbot added: “The truth is, if people are looking to sell they need a proactive approach to the market. We always offer the best independent advice to help our clients achieve the outcome they deserve.
“We are working closely with local developers and builders expanding our thriving town and helping put Newbury on the map.”
The independence of which it is so proud means that while it offers links to local established businesses specialising in financial services, rental, commercial and legal services, all Cricketts concentrate on is giving its clients the best possible service and dedicate all their time to selling houses.
Kathleen Crickett said: “We are open seven days a week until late, offering flexible appointment hours with full time experienced negotiators. We believe that our operation runs smoother when we have people ‘in the know’ in the office at all times.
“We are proud to have been chosen to become a member of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents in 2012. This will give us a network of highly regarded independent estate agents to work with nationally, and will give us a London link and presence in their park lane office.
“Communication is a very important part of our business. Whether people want to be kept informed on their sale by telephone, text, email, post, in person, whatever, their preference we are always on hand. There is nothing worse than not knowing what is happening behind the scenes. We have a popular online customer lounge that clients log into and can view their file 24/7. We know that transparency is a key factor in any important move.”
Cricketts has a dedicated frontline sales team who are constantly speaking to buyers to insure that they find the perfect property that fulfils their requirements. Cricketts prides itself in taking the time to understand its customers’ needs.
Clearly 2012 is set to be a remarkable year for Cricketts- and indeed for those who choose this thriving independent estate agency to sell their home
