Newbury-based Toga Sports has been selected by Premiership side Queens Park Rangers FC to manufacture the club’s range of mini replica football kits.
Owing to QPR having supply issues with their current supplier, Toga Sports has been able to step in to produce the clubs replica kits from 0-3 month age up to the under six years age group.
Owners Gareth Lewis and Toan Dieu said: “This is a great achievement for such a young company and really shows the effort we have put it to make our football kits of high quality yet keeping the price affordable for our customers. This contract will hopefully open up other opportunities within the professional market.”
Toga Sports has been trading for four years and built up a reputation within the industry for the quality and price of its own brand of football kits. It has customers as far away as New Zeeland and Australia and many orders coming from repeat customers and recommendations.
Toga Sports acts as the sports kit supply arm of Silk Road Leisure Ltd, the company also owned by founders Gareth Lewis and Toan Dieu, and was set up to allow them to enter other areas of interest in the future.
Gareth Lewis said: “We set up Silk Road Leisure Ltd as the main company and plan to have a number of trading companies specialising in various areas of interest.
“A natural progression for Silk Road Leisure would be to enter the corporate workwear sector as we already have the equipment and expertise from the printing and embroidery of our football kits. We have already had a few orders for such items via Toga Sports but look to make this an area of real growth over the next 12 months.”
