Mr Kershaw enlightened me on the subject of Contract Pricing. He said…”This is an area I have noticed where many larger suppliers show to give their customers a huge saving by signing them up to an office supplies contract for a up to 5 years, where they keep the cost of the customer’s top 20-50 products at very low prices. What the customer does not realise is that the remaining non-core products are marked up to 900%. Many of my clients have been absolutely shocked at what they were being charged. So I am asking all local companies that are seriously looking to reduce their costs to get in touch with us. All we need are copies their suppliers last 6 invoices and we will highlight all overcharged prices plus we will match or beat your core price list too. It’s a win win situation. If need be, I will gladly come out and see any client at their premises, but please don’t expect a hardnosed pushy salesman, that’s just not me!”
He added…”Don’t get me wrong, any supplier out there needs to make money. What I am trying to say, is that customers can be convinced because a large global supplier say they have the purchasing power to drive costs down. We work very closely with our supplier that has an annual turnover of over £400 million, so we can more than compete with the big boy’s contract prices as well as not overcharging you for non contract items!”
