IN a highly-competitive market, sisters Bev Frame and Denise Matthews have kept Katielee Catering fresh and dynamic for 19 years and with the introduction of two new purpose-built sandwich vans the future looks downright tasty for them and their customers.
Denise explained: “We are known for the quality of our food, the friendliness of our staff and for our reliability. We always turn up and that may sound obvious, but we are often invited to  visit companies because they have been let down.”
Bev added: “I think the choice we offer is important, too.
“Our freshly-baked baguettes, rolls and ciabattas all contain fresh ingredients and are made the morning they are sent out. We also serve hot food, from various hot rolls, pies, pasties and pizza slices. We have homemade cake, fresh fruit salads and lots more.
“People do have their traditional favourites, like cheese and tomato, through to more modern tastes, like mozzarella, basil and tomato, and every month we will feature a new filling. If these prove popular, we then put it on as a regular.”
“We are happy to take requests too,” added Denise.
“If someone wants a particular sandwich, they only need to tell the driver and the next day it will be waiting for them when the van calls. We serve our customers and have a great rapport with them.”
Katielee Catering is just as busy with its buffet business, which often takes it inside the companies its vans visit. From five to 150, the team can produce buffets that are simple through to more exotic and can also provide waitresses if a client wishes.
All food is freshly prepared at Katielee Catering’s modern kitchens at Newbury Racecourse, where the company also has a room suitable for hosting receptions and events for up to 150 people.
A myriad of sandwich companies have come and gone since these sisters went into business for themselves 19 years ago, and while at times it may have been challenging – last year they suffered personally when Bev’s son Lee, after whom the company is partly named, died from Hodgkins Lymphoma, aged just 18 – the sisters’ determination and dedication has seen Katielee Catering flourish in spite  these circumstances.
Whether someone wants to grab a sandwich from the van or be sure of a sumptuous, fresh and tasty buffet for that all-important board meeting, choosing Katielee Catering is the way to be sure of the highest quality food delivered by friendly staff and at a competitive price.
The Katielee Catering sandwich vans, which operate with a full Street Trader’s Licence, cover a large part of West Berkshire.
Denise concluded:”If anyone wants us to visit their company, just call me or my sister Bev today.”
