Business Profile

Auditel

In these economic times, it is refreshing to find a company dedicated to saving businesses money without costing anything to them in upfront fees.  Auditel is such a company, working with organisations most commonly on a shared savings fee model, helping their clients minimise their spending in many cost areas.
Founded in 1994, Auditel is a network of more than 160 professional consultants specialising in cost and purchase management. The service was pioneered to help UK companies make effective and informed procurement decisions in the newly de-regulated energy and communications markets.
Unlike traditional cost consultants, brokers and agents, Auditel does not just focus on cutting prices in the short-term by switching to the supplier with the lowest headline price. Instead, it uses a comprehensive four-step process to analyse its clients’ expenditure profile, obtain rebates against historical billing errors and manage the total long-term cost of business overheads.
This means addressing not just the figure on the bill at the end of every month, but also the value and suitability of the products and services being bought and the hidden, indirect costs of managing overheads using internal resources.
Auditel has recently added a consultant based in Newbury, William Job. Mr Job has lived in West Berkshire for the most of the past 25 years, with various roles in the IT and telecommunications sectors.  When setting up his own business, it was critical to choose the write business partner.
He said: “I was attracted to Auditel in setting up my own consultancy, firstly because helping people save money is an attractive business proposition, and secondly Auditel’s approach of remaining independent of vendors and only charging a percentage of the savings achieved, once they are achieved, is unique.”
Auditel has more than 3,000 clients across the UK benefiting from outsourcing the management of their business costs. Testimonials include companies from the large such as Pizza Express where Auditel has saved over £4m, through to smaller businesses and charities where savings are proportionate to their turnover.
So even if you think you have all your costs under control, it would not hurt to have a free business health check, just to be sure.
Call William Job in the first instance on (01635) 31990, e-mail:  William.job@auditel.co.uk or visit his website: www.auditel.co.uk/williamjob, where you can arrange to set up an initial meeting.
