The pressure to be environmentally-friendly is growing daily and businesses face the
challenge of finding the right professionals to ensure they are being green and meet the twin demands of legislation and corporate social responsibility.
In Newbury, Dovetail HRS recently launched its environmental desk, a specialist recruitment division designed to meet this need and offering a comprehensive range of CSR and environmental professionals to companies both in the UK and abroad.
Dovetail is a leader in specialist recruitment services and since being founded 20 years ago has established a reputation for placing high quality professional candidates in permanent and temporary positions in West Berkshire, throughout the United Kingdom, the US, Europe and EMEA regions.
The new company is led by senior consultant Hayley Smith, who explained: ““Having read the ‘green’ writing on the wall, we at Dovetail understand how precious our planet is and offer a range of recruitment services that will not only assist companies to recruit the best staff to implement their green plans, but also help the best staff find their ideal environmental job.
“It can be challenging for a business to find the right staff who have green credentials and wading through CVs when you do not necessarily understand what is required can prove very difficult indeed.
“Our core expertise lies in sourcing permanent, contract and temporary staff and graduate trained staff for roles across CSR and CRC management, environmental management, utilities management, energy, waste management, health and safety, conservation and organic sectors.
“When the Carbon Reduction Commitment comes into effect in April it will be more important than ever and will impact on a company’s image if they are not being green and finding the right people to drive this commitment is where we can help.”
Hayley Smith’s own environmental credentials stretch back much further than the launch of the new division at Dovetail, as she explained: “I worked at Sheepdrove Organic Farm in Lambourn just after it opened and was responsible for the marketing of the eco conference venue and the sales and marketing of the organic meats, through the home delivery and wholesale routes as well the two butchers shops, in Bristol and Maida Vale.
